As designers we sometimes complain about our lack of creative freedom when dealing with clients. Because I am one of the biggest advocates of freedom that I know of, I want to bring some attention to ONE DAY FOR HUMAN RIGHTS.
We often forget about the people in the world who aren’t free to live their own lives and make a lving for their families. It’s not that we don’t care, it is just not something that we think about on a daily basis. I want every one of my readers to take a minute and not only appreciate the freedoms we have but DO something to help those that don’t have the same common dignities.
Here are just a few things you can do to help:
- This one is a no brainer – SIGN THE PETITION
- Let your government know how you feel. Write a letter or email to congress.
- Blog, podcast or create something to help spread the word.
- Use your imagination! Chances are good that if you are reading this you are creative.
The bottom line is to do something. Who knows, maybe if we stick together we can change the world.
