As you may be able to tell from this shot, I love me some World of Warcraft.

I received the Wacom Intuos 3 with my commission for landing my former employer a $40K job. I love my Copperhead mouse.

I try to keep my client paperwork to a minimum but I have found over the years to cover my ass with a hard copy of all contracts, change logs and approved proofs. I also keep a small stack of various magazines on tattoos, music, art, Photoshop User, etc around for inspiration.

More magazines and stuff. I really love my back issues of ImagineFX. I just wish I had a current subscription. Christmas gift idea *hint* *hint*. I also have a few business and drawing books and my WoW game boxes.

I have a slightly unnatural love of Sharpies. I have lots.

I have quite a few books on quite a few topics. This is just a smattering of them. I also like to keep my brother and sisters close.

1. Whispering creeps me out. I’m not sure what it is about whispering that freaks me out but I get chills when people do it around me. I also have an extreme aversion to paper cuts. Odd considering my chosen profession and the fact that I LOVE paper samples.

2. When I was a kid I wanted to be an artist. And now I am. Kinda. As far back as I can remember there was a sense of creativity in my house growing up. I learned to draw from my dad who went to college for Commercial Art and does some of the most beautiful calligraphy I have ever seen. My mom, in addition to being an amazing cake decorator, is also a fantastic interior decorator from whom I have learnt many things about color and balance.

3. I was a soux chef. I had been into cooking pretty heavily in my teens and I had decided that being an artist wasn’t going to pay the bills so I started working in a restaurant. I fell in love with cooking and went on to work in several establishments, finally becoming a soux chef in a country club. I still love cooking and Food Network but I just can’t cook 12 hours a day anymore.

4. I’m with the band. Next to art/design, music is my second passion. I was really introduced to music when I was 11 or so. My cousin and I listened to Aerosmith’s Greatest Hits and it stuck. I knew I wanted to play the guitar. I got a one a few years later and played it every day. When I was 19 I started a band called Asylum 8 with a couple friends in Orlando. We pretty much sucked but it was so much fun.

5. I was a graphic designer in fifth grade. Well that’s not entirely true. In fifth grade the school gave all the classes the opportunity to design the cover for the graduation program handout. I was the one that was picked. My design was far superior to the other kids’. Just saying.

6. Those who don’t know me think I’m quiet. Those that do wish I was. Though I stole this quote from my cousin, it rings very true. If I am in a room with people I don’t know I am generally a pretty quiet guy but if you put me in a room with my closest friends, then I will talk your face off.

7. I’m gonna be a dad! Ok this one probably shouldn’t count because many of you know already. We are just out of the first trimester (12 weeks) and things are very exciting. Stressful, but exciting. This has been a major source of my lack of sleep due to the worrying and fretting over whether I am gonna be a good father. I am told that I will but I it still worries me. I guess that is normal and it just means I care.
