Last Christmas we got an indoor grill/griddle/sandwich press. Let me tell you folks, these gadgets are not just for college dorms anymore. I use ours almost every day. I love it. Whether I am making burgers, pork chops, Caribbean Shrimp or grilled cheese it heats up quickly and cooks pretty evenly. Temperature goes up to 500 degrees which is just as hot as any flat top or charcoal grill and it’s great for searing.
Some things to look for:
- Make sure it opens into a flat top
- removable, dishwasher safe plates are a must
- High temp range (500 degrees is good)
- changeable flat and ridged gill plates
Get out there and get your self one of these things. You can still have juicy grilled brats or grilled chicken without heating up the outdoor grill in the dead of Winter. Not that it ever gets that cold in Florida.
