Philly steak sandwich that would probably get you kicked out of an Eagles game. But it’s worth it.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds beef shoulder roast (sliced thin, the thinner the better)
- 1/2 onion, grated
- 1 tbl. oil (olive, veg. or otherwise)
- 2 cloves garlic, pressed
- 1/4 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 dash ground cumin
- Salt and Pepper
- 8 slices Gouda cheese
- your favorite hoagie/grinder rolls
- 1 tbl. prepared horseradish (more if you like)
Directions
- Preheat a lightly oiled skillet on medium heat.
- Combine meat, onions, horseradish, garlic, oil and spices until meat is thoroughly coated
- Cook meat mixture on medium heat until cooked through.
- Fill a warm hoagie/grinder roll with the meat mixture and top with the Gouda. Place under a broiler until cheese is melted.
*I like to mix a couple teaspoons of the horseradish with about 1/2 cup of mayo and spread some of that on the roll.
